We educate, equip and empower believers in Africa, Asia and Central America to share their faith in their local area. There are many places in the world where North American missionaries are not welcome or the logistics are too difficult to reach. This is how we spread the Gospel in those "hard to reach" areas. The Gospel must go to the ends of the earth.
We are currently working with 45 coordinators - ambassadors really - in 18 different countries. These ambassadors enlist pastors in their area to lead their churches to participate in a Connexion evangelistic project.
These enlisted pastors will attend an eight hour conference. At this conference, they will learn about what the Bible says about evangelism and will learn simple techniques for sharing their faith. These pastors are now equipped to go to their church and teach their members how to share the Gospel
Connexion provides the prayer and evangelism plan, all training materials, a Connexion prayer card for each church member, witnessing tracts and discipleship materials - all in the local language.
The pastors begin by having their church members list on the prayer card friends, family members, coworkers and acquaintances - people they want to come into a relationship with God. The church prays for these people for four weeks. The church members also receive training on how to share their faith.
During a weeklong project, each church will send witnessing teams into the community where the Gospel is shared with those they have prayed for on their prayer cards; but also in homes, door-to-door, businesses, marketplaces and in schools. Church members will gain valuable experience and confidence sharing the Gospel.
From a single point of contact, the Gospel spreads. Each Connexion project involves on average 20 churches and will result in an average of 1,535 people praying to accept Jesus.
In 2023 we conducted 340 Evangelism projects, working in over 7,300 churches worldwide.
